Ulcerating Abscess in a Case of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Sle) due to Burkholderia pseudomallei - a Case Report

Melioidosis, caused by Burkholderia pseudomallei causes a wide range of clinical manifestations from localized cutaneous infection to overwhelming sepsis and death. It causes severe infections in patients with SLE due to immunosuppressive therapy. We report a case of thigh abscess due to B.pseudomallei in a SLE patient on immunosuppressive therapy
